Practicing One's Responsibility Wholeheartedly

Image
As days go by with time ticking uninterrupted, my heart fills with gratitude, for God has given me another day in the land to gain intimacy with such soothing scenery. God is indeed beautiful, and so are his creations. With one being nature, it is as if he carefully tailored it with mastery and to perfection. I undergo deep thoughts day by day, thinking how lucky we people are to be granted Mother Nature. Therefore, to be committed to devoting care for the environment is a substantial action to reciprocate for God’s beautiful creation.           Whoever created the concept of having a month dedicated to caring for and protecting the environment is a genius. The Environment Month aims to raise awareness of the existing environmental issues surrounding us. It is in hopes that people will apprehend how these issues affect everyone so that every individual steps up to make a difference by caring for the environmen...

Pondering Opened Journeys and Learnings

Image
Plentiful discoveries and opportunities for the new school year were unveiled. These past few months, I spent with 10-Markov, with people I already am familiar with due to the system for special classes. Spending 45 minutes every weekday in the computer laboratory, I managed to seek numerous discoveries. A different approach to teaching was the first eye-opener for me. I learned to be fully independent as our teacher challenged us with self-reviewing. It was a first, but it helped me become more self-reliant. It came to my realization that everything our teacher does is for us, for we will have teachers in the future who will be challenging us to do the same thing. Furthermore, I had a handful of learnings alongside a discovery. After learning about the Internet, I felt closer to it, for I got to know its history; I also got to know about the pioneers and architects of the Internet, alongside their important contributions. In addition, I got to know how to make a blo...

Strongest People With the Kindest Hearts

They go through numerous struggles, go through sleepless nights, go through heaping workloads, go through psychological drawbacks. However, they go through every predicament with a strong mind, with the same objectives in mind – to mentor, to inspire, to guide, and to develop a person by providing the direction they need. First of all, teachers show how dedicated they are to providing their students with general and academic knowledge; with their love for teaching, they can instill a positive atmosphere wherein students have a comfortable learning zone while being encouraged to explore various learning areas. To have a comfortable learning zone is pivotal for students, for such an environment can and will help them be nurtured with empowering skills and creativity. Teachers are often dubbed as our second parents, but other than that, I confidently consider them as students’ learning buddies in life.      Apart from teachers being learning buddi...

When Ant Mentality Gleams Through

No doubt, every country faces perplexing challenges; for it is inevitable, meaning it would be bound to happen. To focus on our country, the Philippines, the country experiences varied challenges - may it be in the economy, healthcare, politics, natural disasters, pollution, etc. The country is greatly prone to these natural disasters since the Philippines is located at the Pacific Ring of Fire. Being located in the said location results in frequent typhoons, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes. As for the economic issues, an example would be poverty; a significant percentage of the population lives below the poverty line. Pollution is also a challenge that the Philippines faces; these days, some people do not know how to segregate their trash appropriately which results in long-term threats and diseases. It is safe to conclude that most challenges that the country faces are due to man.           ...

Letter to the President

Ilocos Sur National High School Brgy VII, Gomez St., Vigan city August 29, 2024 Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. President of the Philippines  MalacaƱang Palace Dear Mr. President, I hope this letter finds you well. The Department of Education has a large impact on the development of the country's economic status. With quality education comes an improved and richer economy. With this being said, I wish to yield more attention to the educational sector. To be precise, I'm referring to the underpayment of employed teachers in public education. Despite the hectic workloads of teachers every day with little to no breaks, they are still not receiving ample amounts of money. Furthermore, there are plenty of teachers who get overworked, as they handle more sections. Personally, I don't think that their breaks are enough to make up for the underpayment. So, I hope that the public teachers in the Department of Education will be more noticed by giving them the right salary that they wo...

When two love birds collide , a precious gem is delivered. Being named Airish Yafa Landicho, my name is a combination of both my parents' creativity. I was born in Israel, but my father and I returned to the Philippines when I was 3 months old. I initially lived in Leynes, Talisay Batangas. However, I moved to Ilocos Sur to fulfill my first level of education. As of the present time, I have two siblings that I consider my dearest in life.     First of all, I am a   student who excels in a few subjects. Despite having weaknesses, I focus on the positives and strengths. I consider my smartness as my big strength. With this, I managed to top classes. Every year, I am high honors, thanks to the Lord and those people who support and love me.   In conclusion, I do not need to be  about my weaknesses. I have my strengths and weaknesses. Everyone does. So, the best thing to do is to think positively. This way, we can be a goo...
